Preliminary Task Pitch

Roles-
Amy Cass typed it out but as a group we all contributed to what was put into the pitch.

Presentation Feedback:

When we gave our presentation feedback was given. Overall the class thought our pitch was very good and we have some good ideas about our trailer. The only feedback given was; as we have an idea about having a ghost, they wanted to know how we are going to portray the ghost. In our trailer we are not going to really show the ghost just a figure and we are going to do this by making someone run past. At the end of the trailer we are going to have a face that will stand out so we will not be showing a ghost. We were also questioned about how we are going to edit and if we had any editing experience and we all have.

Preliminary Task Storyboard

Roles-
When taking the photos for the storyboard we all took turns in taking the photos. The first three photos Jodie  wrote the description, Ruhela wrote the next three and Amy wrote the last two.

Research Into Camerawork

Shots
Extreme Long Shot – An extreme long shot shows your whole body as well as the scenery around you.
Long Shot – This is when you see your whole body/objects that are related to the scene.
Medium Shot – This shot shows the person below the waist and upwards.
Medium Close Up – This shot shows above the waist and upwards, this shot shows less than the medium shot because it is close up.
Big Close Up – This shot is a frame shot where it shows your face, it shows the emotions and feelings that are in the persons face.

Extreme Close Up – Extreme close up shows a very close up on the persons face usually the eyes to show what their feeling through the eyes.
Angles
High – Overhead shows wide scene from above. Can put audience in 'God' like position to allow them to feel in a place of authority over the characters.

Low – Makes the character hold authority over the audience. It increases height for short actors/actresses.
Eye Level – Allows the audience to feel on the same level with the characters.
Canted – This is when the camera it’s titled to an angle which shows that something is not right.
Videos

Crab – In this video this is where the camera stays at the same angle but the camera man moves in a line.

Push out -  In this video it shows the audience

Pan – This video shows you the whole scene because it starts one end and works its way to the other end showing you what is in the scene. This is different from a 180 degree because in a pan the camera man doesn’t move where as a 180 degree the camera and the camera man moves.

Tilt – In this video the camera is tilted to show something is not right. It can also be used when they want the audience to feel in the same place as the characters when they are looking at something.

Push in – In this video the camera pushes into the character to show the characters expressions.

Roles
Amy Cass - Read out the key words for the pictures and organised Jodie into the positions.
Ruhela Begum - Took the photos and videos.
Jodie Rider - The model for the pictures and videos
We all then uploaded and wrote the descriptions together.
